Don’t start any extreme diets in January. They don’t work! Instead, work on making healthy lifestyle choices, like adding more unprocessed foods into your day or being consistent with exercise. Eating 1,200 calories a day of food you hate is not a long term solution, and I would hate to see you in this same spot in 2018. Make the healthy changes and be consistent; the weight will take care of itself. ♥

A Trans Man’s Home Workout
Here is my home workout routine. I know a lot of trans guys want to work out but can’t go to a gym for various reasons and often feel discouraged so I thought I’d share what I do. If you don’t have dumbbells you can fill old milk jugs with water, sand, or gravel.
Circuit 1: Dynamic Stretches - Always warm up
Neck Rotation - 10 reps
Shoulder Circles - 10 reps forward, 10 reps backwards
Arm Swings - 10 reps forward, 10 reps backwards
Side Bends - 10 reps each side
Hips Circles - 10 reps
Leg Swings - 10 reps each leg
Double Leg Bounce - 10 reps
Circuit 2: HITT - Do all exercises back to back with no rest
Jumping Jacks: 30
Push Ups: 5
High Knees: 25
Burpees: 10
Crunches: 10
Squats: 10
Push ups: 5
Squats: 10
Jumping Jacks: 30
Wall Sit: 1 minute (break into shorter increments if necessary)
High Knees: 25
Circuit 3: Weight Training - Complete 4 sets of 12 reps of each
Dumbbell Lunges
Push up
Dumbbell Rows
Squat
Squat Jumps

Dumbbell Fly
Seated Dumbbell Shoulder Press

Lateral Raises
Circuit 4: Static Stretches - hold each for 30 seconds (always cool down)

BUT the pressure, expectations and the stress that they have been experiencing early in the semester has totally killed their motivation. We spend 9 months studying for a test that we lose motivation for anyways.”

Motivation is overrated. No amount of motivation would’ve gotten me through hours of my accounting textbook. No “vision” is enough to keep me awake til the crack of dawn on an essay that I don’t even know if the professor will check. Discipline is what determines how far you go. On those days when your cute little list of #goals and vision of yourself 5 years from now aren’t enough, discipline will pull you out of bed and get you to work. I wish I knew this in high school because I thought I couldn’t work without motivation. I wasted so much time trying to find purpose before I realized that working now, albeit blindly, will ensure that I could chase any purpose I discover in the future. Sure, motivation is crucial, but it’s not consistent. It’s not reliable. You can only rely on yourself and your grit.
Support fat girls that have double chins and don’t have hourglass figures.
Support fat girls that are super curvy.
Support fat girls that eat junk food and don’t exercise.
Support fat girls that eat healthy and workout.
Support fat girls who want to lose weight.
Support fat girls who don’t want to lose a single pound.
